Proving The Collatz Conjecture

Proving The Collatz Conjecture[]Jun 03, 2011
    Follow these easy steps:
  1. Pick any number. Any number at all.
  2. If it's even, divide it by two.
  3. If it's odd, multiply by 3 and add one.
  4. If the resulting number does not equal 1, goto line 1 using your previous result as your new number.
The Collatz conjecture says that the above statement is true, though so far there has been no official proof of such a statement. It appears we are on the brink of bringing this mathematical anomaly to a close.
